Bring Roots&Voice to Your Community

Bring a reading, ritual, performance, workshop, or conversation to your community. Roots&Voice creates real stories, shared books, and meaningful encounters that connect people across generations and communities.

Why We Do This

  • We bring together the literary arts, performance, and community.
  • We create inclusive spaces for reading, dialogue, and creative expression.
  • We celebrate the voices and experiences of women and people whose stories have too often been overlooked.
  • We support books, theater, and programs that explore story, identity, ritual, justice, and belonging.
  • We encourage intergenerational connection through the power of story.

For Group Leaders

If you lead a library, congregation, school, theater, arts organization, community group, university, elder community, women’s group, or nonprofit, we invite you to bring a Roots&Voice reading, ritual, performance, workshop, or discussion to your group. We can help shape an experience that fits your community, your space, and the conversation you hope to begin.

Roots&Voice Seed Fund

Helping Communities Bring the Work to Life

The Roots&Voice Seed Fund helps early community, educational, nonprofit, spiritual, and arts partners bring a reading, ritual, performance, or Gathering to life. We want the work to travel—and we want to learn from the conversations and connections it creates when it enters a new room.

Support may include

  • waiving or reducing licensing or performance fees
  • a modest contribution toward program or production expenses when possible
  • scripts or program materials
  • artistic, dramaturgical, organizational, or promotional support
